Fudge Recipe Disaster

So I wanted to make fudge today for the holidays and I remember my Grandmas recipe being the best. I called my Grandma to get her recipe, wrote everything down and then went to the store to buy the ingredients. Back home I do as the recipe saya. As I am trying to boil the sugar and condensed milk it just keeps getting thicker and thicker and will not boil. Soon it looks like brown sugar, crumbly, dry, and thick. I call my Grandma back and she had told me to use the wrong milk. The recipe was suppose to have evaporated milk in it, not condensed milk. So now my pot is soaking(hopefully it's not ruined) and I am contemplating whether or not to go back to the store today.......what a bummer! All I wanted was a nice piece of chocolate fudge!!! At least I have learned my lesson about fudge :)

Last Day of Break

I can't believe Thanksgiving break is over! That flew by! Yesterday we went and cut down our Christmas tree. We got a very small one because our house is small. I want to decorate but Justin is at work and I would feel bad if he missed out, even though he probably doesn't want to anyway. We went to my Uncles house for Thanksgiving so we don't have any left overs. I am going to cook our turkey probably tomorrow if it's thawed all the way. I love turkey sandwiches!!!!!

School frustration

So I just need to spill my frustration about school. I transfered as a junior so I am completely done with my general ed classes, only having my major classes to complete. When I applied to my school, there was my major and then 3 different "options" to go with the major. I chose 'general dietetics' as my option just because it sounded good. So about 1 month into school one of my teachers was telling us about something new the school is doing. My school is now making the option of 'general dietetics' have a application process. They are doing this because I guess too many people want this option. Anyways, they are starting that application thing this semester and so I went and talked to my advisor and she said that I was 'in' already because I was a transfer and that's what it says on all my paperwork.
Come to find out last week my department chair sent an email saying that me and the other 18 transfers for this semester are actually not in the 'general dietetics' option that we will have to apply! This is all fine and dandy except that I have to have these certain 7 classes done before I can even apply. With the way classes are set up I won't have those done until next fall. So for next fall semester I only have 2 classes to take that will work for both options. So if I take classes for the 'general dietetics' option and don't get in then I will just have wasted time and money on those classes and vise versa on the other option. UUGGGG! I don't know what to do. I think it is so lame that they are doing this to transfer students! We have already proved we can cut it in this whole school thing.........

Fall

I love fall! This is my favorite time of the year and all of the leaves are starting to change, beautiful! I can't wait for Thankgiving break, I really need a break from school!
